The Short Formula For Online Success
Many pros believe that their way of doing things are right. And most pros believe that their way of capitalising on the web is the fastest way to riches. If I look at what some of these guys are making on the net then sure, you are definitely doing all or most of it right. Maybe what they fail to tell the general public is that they are not really doing what the newbies are doing. Heck, they are maybe doing only some of what intermediate guys are doing. They are doing what the pros are doing. More then likely they have been doing mystical pro stuff for a while to get so good at it. Or it looks like it anyway.
The thing is that they follow a simple system. This system is not mystical. It’s not magical. Its not even that new. But it’s effective; really, really effective. If you take this simple system and study it and make a science out of it you too could be rich and famous.
Lets have a look at it:
CTPM or
Content → Traffic → Pre-sell → Monetise
Content: Content drives the internet, always has, probably always will. Simple as that my friend. In the long term everybody loves a content rich website, you, me, the search engines, everybody. And lets face it, original, interesting content goes a long way further compared to old reworked or stolen content.
Traffic: These are the people looking for some fresh info to snack on. If you’re wondering what to give them, simply stand in their shoes for a while. Look at your site through their eyes. Are they glazing over by the list of familiar articles you have or are they diving in to your site, ready to devour all you have to offer. Would you like your site?
Pre-sell: It is also called soft selling and I’m a big fan of this. It’s subtle, draws in the customer and generally puts them in a receptive mode. It’s not you job to sell a product that isn’t yours. Generally when starting out in internet marketing you pre-sell other peoples products and then direct happy, open customers to the merchants site. This is where they are promised the moon and the stars if they buy that product. The simplest way to do all this is to take a good product, write a warm review on it and let the customer sell himself.
Monetise: Luckily this is the easiest part of the equation. By the time you have a happy warmed up customer all you have to do is point them in the right direction. You can do this with an affiliate link, pointing to the merchants site. Should the merchant convince them that they indeed do want that moon and stars, they will buy that product and you will receive your commission.
Many people may look at this formula and think “Dammit man, I wanted this to be easy and fast. I want to get stinking rich by next week Friday!”. I think, no, I know that that’s a very sort term way of thinking. If you do it right you WILL get rich. Compared to working a nine-to-fiver it’s very little work and here’s the best part: Once you set it up and it works for one customer, this process is a wash and repeat. And it washes itself and then repeats, washes itself and then repeats, and … I love it! Now, what if you had a way to outsource absolutely all of this? That could work. That could work very nicely indeed.
