Natural and Easy Multiple Keyword Phrase Development
Due to fierce competition it’s not so easy getting on Google’s first page for single or popular keywords anymore. Incorporating long tail keywords in your everyday search engine optimization, or SEO, is a strategy that will still get you results and traffic. Keyword phases that contain more then one word to make up a keyword are also called long tail keywords.
Here are some shining examples of multiple keyword phrases:
* multiple keyword phrase research
* multiple keyword phrase search
* multiple keyword phrase marketing
* what is a long tail keyword? (It’s a question, but still a long tail keyword phrase)
Some of the advantages of using long tail keyword research in SEO and when your write articles are:
* The traffic you get is free; you only spend some time doing the research
* A lot of your marketing has already been done as the traffic you get is already focused
* The conversion rate from long tail keyword searches tend to be higher, both in click through rate and in sales
* You have much less competition then for single keywords
* It’s easier to ranked highly for those long tail phrases by Google
The easiest way to start incorporating long tail keywords in your marketing is to discuss a single subject over a range of articles. Let’s use traffic generation as an example subject. Write say an article on keyword research and as a follow-up article you can discuss search engine optimization, which could very easily flow into a discussion about SEO spiders in a next article. Then maybe get more focussed by doing research on keyword links and write an article on that.
All these articles are different, but they hover around the same concept. Long tail keyword development happens very naturally when you discuss a broader subject like traffic generation. This is simply because you have to speak the same language, use the same keyword phrases if you will, to get the whole message across.
What is important in this strategy is to do some initial keyword phrase research to get you going. And long tail keyword research, also called multiple keyword research, is no different from ordinary keyword research. Lets use Google Keyword Tool and start of with something basic, like ‘keyword’. Get those related keywords and just scroll trough them.
On the left hand side of the Google Keyword Tool Page is a bar indicated how much competition there is for that keyword. And this is why long tail keywords are so effective. The longer the tail of the key phrase, the less the competition. And someone who searches for ‘get traffic with article marketing’ is much more interested in the subject then someone that just searches ‘get traffic’. Also have a look at the total amount of searches. Ideally you want a long tail keyword phrase with little competition and many searches a month.
Now get a bunch of associated keyword phrases and store them somewhere on your PC. Now when you start doing your articles or blog entries you should incorporate all those 3 to 5 word keyword phrases into the headings, main body and resource boxes. Follow this up with another related article and use some of the related long tail keywords. Doing this frequently and systematically will eventually improve your search engine ranking and get you the traffic you want.
